Wisłoka Chicago opened its Fall 2026 UPSL Midwest Central campaign with a hard-fought 1–1 draw against Chicago Nation FC, which had already played one league match this season. The match was played under the lights on an artificial-turf field at the Redmond Recreational Complex, located at 735 E. Jefferson Street in Bensenville, Illinois. Chicago Nation FC controlled much of the first half, pressing aggressively and keeping Wisłoka Chicago inside its own half for long stretches. Wisłoka Chicago remained disciplined defensively and absorbed the pressure, while Chicago Nation FC’s high work rate appeared to cost the team energy as the match progressed. The second half became more open. Olek Melnyk gave Wisłoka Chicago the lead with a beautiful free-kick goal. Chicago Nation FC continued pushing forward and eventually found the equalizer—a fair reward for its sustained attacking effort throughout the match. The overall officiating was disappointing and received a 3/10 rating from our match coverage team due to several inconsistent decisions. Both teams finished the match with one point.
