The Bud Billiken Parade returns Saturday, August 8, for a free, family-friendly celebration of Chicago’s Black heritage, young people and the back-to-school season. The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at 39th Street and Martin Luther King Drive.
The route continues south before finishing with a community festival in Washington Park. Visitors should plan to arrive early. Parking near the route will be limited, and public transportation is recommended.
