Chicago Cubs Open 2026 Postseason Presale Registration

The road to October · Wrigley Field

A chance to be at Wrigley for October baseball starts with registration. Here are the dates, the process and what Cubs fans should know before entering the postseason presale drawing.

CHICAGO — The Cubs’ “Fly the W” presale registration opens September 9 at 10 a.m. Central Time, giving eligible fans a chance to purchase tickets to potential 2026 postseason games at Wrigley Field.

Registration enters fans into a random drawing for a purchase opportunity. It does not reserve a seat, guarantee tickets or confirm that the Cubs will host a postseason game.

How to enter the presale drawing

Fans can register at Cubs.com/postseason using an MLB.com account. Entry is limited to eligible U.S. residents, including residents of U.S. territories, who meet the applicable age requirement—generally 18 or older.

Only one registration per person is accepted. Use an email address you check regularly: selected fans will receive their purchase window, ticket limits and instructions by email.

What happens if you are selected?

Selected fans receive access to a special presale, with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. An invitation gives you an opportunity to buy; it does not guarantee that seats will remain available.

The billing address on the payment card must match the address submitted during registration. Tickets purchased through the program are for personal use and may not be resold or used for commercial or promotional purposes.

Keep the distinction clear: registering, being selected and successfully purchasing tickets are three separate steps.

Later rounds offer additional opportunities

Eligible registrations remain in consideration for later drawings, whether or not they are selected initially. Potential opportunities include the National League Division Series, National League Championship Series and World Series, depending on the Cubs’ postseason progress.

Registration for subsequent rounds will remain open after the Wild Card deadline. Additional deadlines and drawing dates will be announced if the Cubs advance.

If a postseason game is not played

All opportunities depend on the Cubs qualifying for and playing the applicable series. If the team does not play a round, the associated purchase opportunity will not take place.

Tickets purchased for games later deemed unnecessary are subject to the Cubs’ refund policy. Review the official presale terms and refund details before purchasing.

A separate route through season tickets

The Cubs also offer potential 2026 postseason ticket access to fans who place a nonrefundable deposit toward 2027 season tickets, subject to the team’s terms and availability. Fans considering that option should review the season-ticket deposit details before making a commitment.

For fans entering the drawing, the next step is straightforward: complete the official registration before the September 20 Wild Card deadline and watch for an email from the Cubs.
