    The National Sweetcorn Festival returns to Hoopeston for its 82nd year over Labor Day weekend. The community tradition includes free freshly cooked sweet corn, a carnival, entertainment, competitions and the National Sweetheart Pageant.

    Events take place in and around McFerren Park and downtown Hoopeston.
