CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears opened their 2026 preseason with a convincing 34-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Saturday at Soldier Field, overcoming an early 10-point deficit and scoring 34 unanswered points.
Cleveland jumped out to a 10-0 lead, but Chicago quickly changed the momentum and took control of the game.
Bears Respond After Early Deficit
After a slow start, the Bears found their rhythm on both sides of the ball. Chicago erased Cleveland’s early advantage before halftime and carried that momentum into the second half.

Defense Steps Up
Chicago’s defense also played an important role in the comeback.
Jamree Kromah recorded a strip-sack and recovered the fumble, while defensive back Beanie Bishop Jr. came away with two interceptions.
After allowing Cleveland to score the game’s first 10 points, the Bears defense did not allow another point.
