TBD stops Wisloka’s push toward the top

The opportunity was there for Wisloka: a home win would have taken the club to seven points. Instead, TBD left Bensenville Redmond Park with its first victory of the fall, bringing both teams level on four points after three matches.

For Wisloka, the 2–1 defeat ended an opening run that included a 1–1 draw with Chicago Nation and a 5–0 win over Force. For TBD, it was a turnaround after a draw at Force and a home loss to Ethos. The Madison club now has an away win to build on; Wisloka has its first setback to answer. UPSL results.

Berber City gets going; Urbana finds goals

Berber City made its first counted appearance of the fall a winning one, scoring four at Judah’s Field of Dreams. The 4–2 result puts the Chicago club on three points, with its earlier Round Lake fixture still listed as postponed by UPSL.

Urbana’s two goals were its first of the campaign, following scoreless defeats against Libertyville and Chicago Strikers. That breakthrough did not bring a first point: Urbana remains winless through three games. Berber City’s next listed opponent is Chicago Nation on September 19, setting up an early test against the conference leader. UPSL results and schedule.
